In celebration of 30 years since the formation of this progressive design studio the practice looks to recognise the work of the current Director and team with a relaunch as Xanthe Quayle Landscape Architects (XQLA).
Founded in central Manchester in 1989, a collaboration between Robert Camlin and Tom Lonsdale, distilled to form an enduring and forward thinking design studio within the fields of landscape architecture and urban design.
In the ensuing years the independent team has established itself to become nationally recognised for its unique, high quality and thoughtful design work with a strong and broad portfolio of cultural, health and public realm environments delivered from its design studio in West Yorkshire. Recently awarded projects include Clock View, Liverpool psychiatric hospital, Chichester Festival Theatre and Regents Park Open Air Theatre.
Continuing to build on the founding partners’ enduring ethos, Xanthe Quayle Landscape Architects pushes at the boundaries of the discipline to align environmental and social agendas with economic realities to deliver genuine and inclusive landscape intervention.
